There are stares and stares. There are stares which can kill you and there are stares you would be willing to die for. A portraitist is always looking for stares, for those wells that go through the epidermis and reach the soul of each individual. The models look at us and we look at them. And the longer we look and the longer they look at us, the deeper the communication goes. It is a dialogue. A dialogue of love and horror. There is a lot of life behind a stare like this one. There is a lot of street. There is a lot of suffering. A lot of pain. And  this little girl from Bangladesh is telling me about all this only with her stare. From the bottom of her soul. And the only thing I can promise her is to try and tell about her pain in the same way she has told me. The -wonderful- picture I took as basis for this portrait is one of the many taken by the photographer Mou Aysha. No words are needed. Only those stares are enough to understand everything.

Please find below some stages of the creative process I try to photograph when I happen to remember.
